In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.
The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
