Loaned-out Man Utd striker Rasmus Hojlund netted a double as the Serie A champions overcame Sporting to claim their maiden Champions League win of the season.
Each of the striker's strikes were set up by ex-City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne, while Colombia attacker Luis Suarez converted a penalty for Portuguese side Sporting.

Sporting now have one win and one defeat of their first two group games following an opening with a convincing win over the team from Kazakhstan Kairat.
